Florida State fans raising money for ‘Keep Al Golden’ banner

Troll on, Florida State.

The Seminoles have a rabid fan base known for not holding back any punches, so news of a new shenanigan from the fans comes as no surprise — especially since it come at the expense of their rivals, the Miami Hurricanes.

Florida State plays Miami on Oct. 10 and one fan created a GoFundMe page attempting to raise $500.

The goal is to fly a banner that reads “Keep Al Golden” over Doak Campbell Stadium when the Hurricanes come to town.

“Al Golden has done a terrific job in keeping Miami irrelevant, Cane fans want him gone,” the page read. “However in Tallahassee we love Coach Golden, that’s why we want to show our love in 3 weeks when the canes come to Tallahassee, with a banner that will fly over the stadium…for an hour.”

Miami fans have flown their fair share of banners in support of firing the coach, so this is a pretty hilarious twist.

Well played, Seminoles. Now go raise that money.
