Pensacola, Fla. resident, Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, is currently in the hospital being treated for a gun shot injury to the wrist; and the shooter is an unlikely suspect. According to investigators, Bradford was shot by mistake by a puppy.
Don’t believe it? It’s true!
Deputies in Pensacola reported that Bradford was trying to shoot seven shepherd mix puppies in his care when one of the dogs, a 3-month-old puppy, pulled the trigger of the .38-caliber revolver in Bradford’s hands and shot him in the wrist. Apparently, while holding two puppies – one in his arms and another in his left hand, the wiggling and whining puppies accidentally discharged the gun.
But why would anyone want to shoot a puppy, you ask?
Bradford claims that because he was unable to find homes for them he decided to shoot them instead. One has to wonder how hard he even tried to find homes for the dogs before he aimed a gun at their heads.
Of the seven puppies in Bradford’s care, three of the dogs were killed and buried in a shallow grave in Bradford’s yard. The surviving four dogs have been rescued, are up for adoption and are looking for owners to love them and not shoot them.
As for Bradford, a wrist injury is only one consequences he’s suffering for aiming a firearm at a precious puppy. He also faces an arrest and charges of felony animal cruelty.
