The UCF Knights announced on Tuesday that star running back Will Stanback was dismissed from the team. However, this is far from the end of his collegiate career.
Shortly after the announcement came to light, ESPN’s Joe Schad reported that Stanback will transfer.
Stanback noted that he will be transferring from the program and then sitting out next season. In fact, the All-ACC running back already has some potential landing spots in mind.
Per Schad, Stanback is considering the Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, North Carolina Tar Heels, Virginia Cavaliers and Virginia Tech Hokies.
The running back has also been blocked from a few schools.
Stanback says he’s blocked from transferring to FIU, FAU, GT, Michigan, Maryland, Stanford, BYU and Texas.

As for the reason Stanback was given the boot from Central Florida, it was because of multiple failed drug tests for marijuana.
Former UCF RB Will Stanback did fail multiple marijuana tests per source.
