Long before he was offering pearls of wisdom in Aflac commercials, Yogi Berra built one of the most epic careers in Major League Baseball.
The three-time AL MVP catcher–and really, there will never be another player to be named an All-Star 15 consecutive seasons–has been the subject of many storytellings since it was announced that he passed away on Tuesday at the age of 90.
Despite that he will probably always be remebered as a Yankee, there has been no franchise that hasn’t tipped their caps to the great in memorium.
And such was the case up in Toronto, when a special tribute lit up the jumbotron before the the Blue Jays hosted the Yankees.
The Yankees broadcast also, of course, had a tearjerker tribute before the game started.
