Though many know future baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter as the man who starred at shortstop for the New York Yankees for 20 years, not many realize that he was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan and is a HUGE Wolverines fan.
It just so happens that today’s stop of Jeter’s retirement tour is the Big House, where Michigan is playing BYU today. Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh went out of his way to make Jeter feel at home and even presented him with a personalized jersey, with his name and signature No. 2 on the back. A picture of Jeter receiving the gift was captured on Twitter.

Given how Jeter ended his career with five World Series rings and was on winning teams for practically every season of his career, perhaps his presence will be a good omen as Michigan looks to improve to 3-1 under Harbaugh.
