When you are a running back in Athens, Georgia, having your named mentioned in the same breath as Herschel Walker’s is seriously a huge honor. Walker is the Bulldogs’ last Heisman Trophy winner, which he won in 1982.
Georgia running back Nick Chubb is looking like a favorite for the trophy this year. In Saturday’s game against the Southern University Jaguars, Chubb tied the all-time great with a long touchdown run from 49 yards out.
That record was the most consecutive games with at least 100 yards rushing, which is currently 12. Chubb currently sits at 151 yards and two touchdowns with a 24-yard touchdown reception.
Nick Chubb just tied Herschel Walker's @FootballUGA record with 12-straight 100-yard rushing games. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that Chubb is going to be remembered as one of the great running backs of all time in Athens. Chubb has a chance to break the record next week as the Bulldogs welcome in the Alabama Crimson Tide.
What a game to attempt a record in.
