From Sark’s mouth to the football gods’ ears. Smith-Schuster, a sophomore, has been star quarterback Cody Kessler’s favorite target so far this season and USC’s leading receiver, pulling in 27 receptions for 537 yards and six touchdowns over four games.
Fortunately, USC is on a bye this week, so Trojans fans can breathe a sigh of relief and not have to worry about whether Smith-Schuster will suit up in time for kickoff. More importantly, if he’s dealing with a personal matter, it’s better that he take care of it at his own pace and not come back to football until he is ready.
This story is still young, but Campus Sports will update it accordingly if any new information becomes available.
