Thursday night’s College Football Playoff semifinal games did not really deliver on expectations, with both higher seeds controlling play on their way to impressive wins. Colin Cowherd, as he is prone (and paid) to do, voiced his opinion on the games, and made a bold statement on Alabama’s style of play.
During his show Friday, the Fox Sports 1 personality argued that Alabama’s style of play is “boring” and their impressive streak of dominance is bad for the sport.

Alabama’s focus on defense and the run game definitely isn’t the most visually appealing when compared alongside Oregon or Baylor, but I doubt that matters to Nick Saban. People are still going to tune in either because they are ‘Bama fans, or to see if Clemson has what it takes to keep the Championship trophy out of Saban’s hands another year.
