TMZ releases video of Trevone Boykin bar fight

TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has been suspended for today’s Alamo Bowl after being arrested in San Antonio Wednesday night for assaulting a police officer, public intoxication and resisting arrest, and now TMZ has posted video of the incident.

The video’s quality isn’t the best, but it’s clear that Boykin was in a bad way. He went nuts after being put in a chokehold by a Pat O’Brien’s (the establishment in question) staffer, and was then thrown into the street before being approached by local police.

At that point, he foolishly took a swing at one before being grabbed and tackled to the ground.

Boykin has since apologized for his actions and said there were “no excuses for my very poor decision,” but this does not bode well for his future whatsoever. Even with a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine next month, he’ll need to ace his interviews to assure teams that he will not be a problem away from the field while also not having an attitude problem in the locker room.
