Notre Dame CB Keivarae Russell declares for NFL Draft

Keivarae Russell and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish ended their 2015 season in a very disappointing way. Now, Notre Dame will have to deal with another loss as Russell has decided to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft and forgo his senior season.

He took to his personal Twitter account to announce his decision and thank the school for everything.

During the 2015 season with the Fighting Irish, Russell was the definition of consistent for their defense. He recorded 60 tackles, two interceptions, four defensed passes and two forced fumbles. When the Irish desperately needed a play, Russell normally came through and was involved.

Russell is making the right decision by entering the NFL Draft, although the Fighting Irish probably don’t think so with the hole that it will leave them in the secondary.
