The Kansas Jayhawks and Oklahoma Sooners had a classic game Monday night as the two teams went to triple overtime. It was the first time the number one and two teams went to multiple overtimes since 1974.
In the game, Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield had a career game as he went for 46 points in what was easily his breakout game. After his interview with ESPN, the number of Jayhawk fans had stuck around in Allen Fieldhouse deservedly gave him a standing ovation.

The Jayhawks have seen their fair share of talented players in years passed, so they certainly know greatness when they see it. Props to them giving Hield the recognition he deserved.
You can only hope that these two teams meet up in the Big 12 or possibly NCAA Tournament again.
