Former LSU wide receiver John Diarse will transfer to TCU, according to 247 Sports.
Diarse, a former four-star recruit from Monroe, Louisiana, chose to leave LSU on New Year’s Eve and had 13 catches for 137 yards in 2015. He leaves LSU with 28 catches for 412 yards and three scores in two seasons. Since he graduated in December and was a redshirt sophomore, he will be immediately eligible to play for the Horned Frogs.
And productive Diarse will be in TCU’s air-raid offense. The Horned Frogs are about to lose a key receiver in Josh Doctson, not to mention quarterback Trevone Boykin, but will likely have a former SEC ex-pat in Kenny Hill under center in 2016. Hill impressed in a few starts at Texas A&M in 2014 before being benched for Kyle Allen, and should do quite well in coach Gary Patterson’s system.
Needless to say, after losing some key players, TCU could easily still make some noise in the Big 12 in 2016.
