Latest College Football Championship Game odds released

Alabama is listed as a 6.5 point favorite against Clemson just days before the College Football Playoff championship game, according to Pregame.com.

This isn’t exactly a surprise, since the Crimson Tide are a much better team on paper than Clemson. They have a strong, hard-hitting SEC defense led by pass-rusher Jonathan Allen, not to mention a phenomenal secondary and strong linebacker in Reggie Ragland. Oh, and let’s not forget about Heisman-winning running back Derrick Henry and freak wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

Simply put, when running on all cylinders, Alabama football is a well-oiled machine that almost never breaks down.

Also, arguably, the underdog role suits Clemson better. This has been a team that nobody thought could get this far, and now they’re in a position to be Team USA to Alabama’s USSR in a game that is truly reminiscent of the Miracle on Ice, except it’s football and not ice hockey.

Either way, the odds suggest that betting on Clemson’s fast and feisty system wouldn’t be the worst idea, so choose wisely, fans!
