Nick Saban to have church building named after him in Tuscaloosa

Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s church has decided to name their soon-to-be-built student center after coach and fellow parishioner.

St. Francis of Assisi University Parish is building the new center to accommodate the growing Catholic student population on the University of Alabama campus saying, ‘With the growing student population at the University of Alabama, there is a tremendous need at St. Francis University Church for a student center -– a place where students can continue their spiritual development as well as socialize in a friendly, safe environment.”

Saban and his family have donated money and were part of the effort to raise money for the construction of the student center. So far, $1.3 million has been raised.

If Saban having a church building strikes you as strange, it should seeing as how he made a deal with the devil when he came to Tuscaloosa. I mean, how else is he in the championship game every year?
