Alabama’s championship game matchup with Clemson could wind up being close from start to finish, but there’s one area in which the Crimson Tide have not given an inch.
That would be merchandise sales and according to a tweet from ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Alabama gear has outsold that of Clemson in 33 out of 50 states.

Much of this can be attributed to Alabama having a bigger fan base, not to mention more history than Clemson, but the Tigers can at least credit themselves with almost all of the eastern seaboard and some incredibly random spots out west.
That said, it’s certainly going to be interesting which way tonight’s Arizona crowd leans.
Kickoff is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, so be sure to tune in!
