Just hours before his team took on the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin took to Twitter to reach out to former Texas quarterback Vince Young as well as former USC running back Reggie Bush about the game.
.@ReggieBush @VinceYoung10 I've been waiting ten years and seven days….. #RTR

For those that don’t know, Kiffin was on the staff of the Trojans in 2006 for the game that is often called the best college football game of all time. Kiffin’s Trojans allowed 467 yards of total offense to Young, and ultimately fell to the Longhorns on a touchdown run by Young with less than 10 seconds to play.
Even though a decade has passed, it still is on the mind of Kiffin, who is trying to win his first championship. So far, Kiffin has to be happy with his offense’s performance as the Crimson Tide are tide with Tigers at 14 as the second half winds down.
