Florida State linebacker and former JUCO transfer Lorenzo Phillips is no longer enrolled at the university, according to reports from Warchant and Tomahawk Nation.
Per those reports, Phillips has “exhausted his eligibility.”
A former four-star recruit from Louisiana, Patterson enrolled in junior college after struggling with academics at LSU. In a backup and special teams role with the Seminoles last season, he had 11 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
Just what happens next for Phillips remains to be seen, but all signs point to either the end of the line for him regarding football or perhaps another transfer. He has talent but if he can’t even keep himself eligible to play, teams are going to be hesitant to take him on.
