Raiders have secured land in San Antonio for potential move

Though the Rams and Chargers could both be headed to Los Angeles, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Oakland Raiders will stay put. According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, Raiders owner Mark Davis has already secured a parcel of land in Texas between San Antonio and Austin that the team could use as leverage to either force a move to the Lone Star State or have the City of Oakland set aside land for a new stadium.

This isn’t the first time that the Raiders have had San Antonio on their radar as a potential destination. It was not too long ago that San Antonio city officials approached the Raiders about making a move there, even offering use of the Alamodome on an interim basis while a new stadium was built.

But on top of that, Davis would love to up the in-state competition against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who pushed the Rams-Chargers Los Angeles partnership hard and worked to exclude the Raiders from the City of Angels.
