Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones drew a fine that totaled $28,940 for both drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and also making contact with a game official in last weekend’s AFC Wild Card loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport broke the news on Twitter.

Jones can thus add another disciplinary issue to his lengthy list. He was fined $35,000 for ripping the helmet off of Oakland Raiders rookie receiver Amari Cooper and then slamming Cooper’s head to the field multiple times and drew a one-year suspension from the NFL early in his career following multiple off-field incidents.
Needless to say, Jones clearly has an issue keeping a cooler head and it could be argued that his penalty easily cost the Bengals the game. Hopefully, this serves as yet another wakeup call that he needs to change his attitude.
