ESPN Sport Science analyzes Alabama’s onside kick

Alabama defeated Clemson in the national championship game earlier this week and the turning point of the game was an onside kick following a game-tying field goal in the fourth quarter that gave the Crimson Tide all the momentum they needed.

ESPN Sport Science took a look at the kick and just how incredible it truly was. Check it out!

It just goes to show how confident Alabama coach Nick Saban is in his player’s abilities, not to mention how strong a recruiter he is. I mean, come on. How many other players besides those involved in executing the play perfectly could actually pull that off? Not many, in all likelihood.

Needless to say, this just proves the golden rule about playing Alabama: expect the unexpected.
