Former LSU running back coach Frank Wilson was officially tabbed as the new head coach of the UTSA Roadrunners Thursday evening. He has been one of the best recruiters in the nation the last six years and it looks like a lot of players, both former and current, believe this isn’t the last time Wilson will be in Baton Rouge.
One of those former players posted some pretty strong words about Wilson on Friday. Former cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, who was with Wilson for two seasons from 2010-2011, congratulated him about landing the job.
So proud for coach Frank Wilson. You deserve it, you have helped so many kids in Louisiana reach their goal, happy to see you reach yours!

He then posted a later status that could be considered controversial. He said that Wilson will be returning to LSU as a head coach in the future, which he later deleted.
Now, this doesn’t mean that Les Miles’s time is up in Baton Rouge, but with the way the season ended, it could be pretty clear. It also shows how highly Mathieu thinks of a former coach of his.
