Marlins 2B Dee Gordon celebrates $50 million extension with McDonald’s

Put yourself in the position of a professional athlete who just had an incredible season and earned a lengthy extension, let’s say $50 million over five years. With that kind of money, you’ll celebrate and treat yourself with a nice and expensive meal, right?

Well, not if you’re Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon. According to posts from his Twitter, just hours after his extension was made official, he was at McDonald’s enjoying some delicious Chicken McNuggets!

Why at @McDonalds they ask you what kindof sauce you want? Everyone want sweet and sour sauce lol😂

Now, before we jump on Gordon for eating fast food when he can clearly afford better than that, especially living in a great food city like Miami, let’s not forget that he’s not alone in his eating habits. San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers agreed to a four-year, $84 million extension last summer and received $65 million in guaranteed money, and he celebrated his new deal with Domino’s Pizza.

That said, you do you, Mr. Gordon. Keep on doing you. It’s your money, so spend it how you please!

Oh, plus McNuggets are delicious, so stop hating.
