The deadline for college football underclassmen to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft has passed and now we are beginning to learn of the draft grades a handful of players received.
One interior lineman who was considering leaving school early was LSU Tigers junior center Ethan Pocic, who ultimately decided to return to school for his senior season.
According to The Baton Rouge Advocate, Pocic, who is considered by many to be one of the top centers available in next year’s draft class, received a second-round draft grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Committee.
Pocic returning was huge for the Tigers, who lost Vadal Alexander and Jerald Hawkins to the NFL Draft, but it will be interesting to see whether he switches positions in 2016.
Regardless of where he plays, Pocic will be a player to watch for teams that need offensive line help when next year’s draft rolls around.
