Gary Patterson makes tweaks to TCU staff

TCU head coach Gary Patterson has made some adjustments to his coaching staff, according to John Taylor of NBC Sports’ College Football Talk.

First, director of high school relations Zarnell Fitch has been promoted to defensive line coach, where he will serve with Dan Sharp. On top of that, graduate assistant Jason Phillips has been promoted to linebackers coach.

Both men have played for the program, as Phillips was a four-time all-conference linebacker before enjoying a short NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers.

Needless to say, for a TCU team that could use a fresh face on defense, these hires should offer a necessary makeover.
