Notre Dame shows up to recruit’s house in tractor trailer

The recruiting game today has evolved beyond the coach simply showing up to a recruit’s house and trying to sell him on the program. The bar has been raised, especially with Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh sleeping over at recruits’ homes and, more recently, Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly showing up in a tractor trailer.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that did indeed happen. Kelly arrived at five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson’s home in Savannah, Georgia in a Notre Dame 18-wheeler, and Robertson managed to capture video of Kelly’s arrival and post it to his Twitter.

Robertson is also considering offers from Cal, Louisville, Georgia, Auburn and many others on top of Notre Dame. If any other program can top the Fighting Irish’s pitch, then they’ll be the immediate envy of the college football world.
