EA confirms new Battlefield, Titanfall

Electronic Arts has confirmed that a few new titles are set to release in the near future.

During a conference call to announce financials with investors, EA revealed that a new Battlefield release will come for the 2016 holiday season. In addition to the new offering from DICE, EA revealed that a brand new Titanfall “experience” is going to be coming as well.

There were no details on a release window for the second installment of the Titanfall series, but it’s expected to be released before the end of the 2016 fiscal year which ends in March 2017. The executives on the call would only describe the game as “fantastic”.

Knowing that the next Battlefield installment won’t come until the holiday season gives the series a year-and-a-half in between releases, which could help fans get over the Battlefield fatigue. That being said, there may be fatigue from DICE offerings after the developers were behind the recent release of Star Wars Battlefront.

For Titanfall, it’s been two years since the first title was released to mixed reviews. Hopefully, with such a break between releases, the team at Respawn was able to make all the changes needed to put the game over the top.
