Let the circus begin. With the season dissipating to a gauzy memory, college teams are centering their attack on solidifying and signing their incoming recruits for 2016.
It’s one thing to get a verbal commitment, it’s another to actually, like negotiations with a free agent, get the name on the dotted line.
Unfortunately, when you’re dealing with an 18 year old, you’re confronting the fickle personality traits that come with youth. You’ve planned your entire season on the hopes that those kids follow through on their word, that they understand and buy into the mature virtue of integrity.
Well…that isn’t the case for Michigan and 4-star OT, Devery Hamilton. Today, Hamilton officially backed out of his commitment with the Michigan Wolverines, and pledged his signing with the Stanford Cardinal. All of it documented on his Twitter account.

The irony is that coach Harbuagh–now with Michigan–got screwed by his former employer. Harbaugh coached Stanford successfully from 2007 to 2011. Payback’s a jealous ex-lover. Avoid her at all costs.
