Texas pastor wants God to strike down Conor McGregor after Jesus comments

When you think of UFC Featherweight Champion, Conor McGregor, and some of the things he says, you just can only respond with “Oh, Conor.”

In early December, McGregor spoke with TMZ and said that he is pretty confident that he could “whoop Jesus’s ass” in a fight. No, he wasn’t talking about your Hispanic friend, he was talking about the religious figure whose teachings millions of people base their lives off of.

That seemed to tick off a Texas pastor pretty badly. According to FOX Sports, Donnie Romero, pastor of Stedfast Baptist Church, took a shot at McGregor, saying that he hopes God “strikes him dead.”

“I’m going to pray that God strikes this guy dead,” Romero said to his congregation. “Do you know why? Guy’s name is Conor McGregor. He’s the UFC featherweight champ or something like that, he’s on this run of just knocking people out. But he got up and he said ‘if Jesus Christ was in the ring with me, I’d knock him out’.”

That doesn’t seem very ethical of a pastor to say, especially while standing in the pulpit.
