It’s National Signing Day. So, in the spirit of good fun, we decided to look back at the recruiting rankings for all of the participants in this weekend’s Super Bowl 50 matchup between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.
As you would expect, being a highly touted high school recruit does not automatically mean you are poised for NFL stardom. In fact, a majority of the Super Bowl rosters include players who were three-star recruits or lower coming out of high school.
For example, the Broncos had just two players rated as five-star recruits and seven four-star players.
Carolina, meanwhile, had six five-star athletes and 11 four-star players.
Who were the top recruits that are now set to participate in Super Bowl 50 and some of the underrated recruits who proved to be steals? Let’s take a look.
