UFC featherweight champion and lightweight title challenger Conor McGregor has taken trash-talking in the sports world to a new level. That was once again on display Friday night during the World MMA Awards in Las Vegas.
McGregor was not in attendance to accept his Fighter of the Year award, but he did send in a recorded acceptance speech.
As you would expect, McGregor wasted no time taking shots at his fellow fighters. The featherweight king asked for the “bums” on the UFC roster to thank him for “keeping them all fed.”
One fighter in particular, heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum, was mentioned by name as McGregor mocked the Brazilian title holder for being a “pu**y” and pulling out of his scheduled headlining bout with an injured toe.
It was typical McGregor behavior, and we loved it.
