In addition to a new Standard game mode, Hearthstone will be seeing more additions in the form of a new expansion this Spring.
During the company’s financial conference call, Activision/Blizzard revealed that a new expansion will be coming to players before the summer.
The most recent expansion, The League of Explorers, was released last November. It included four wings of play, and 45 new cards.
No plans were mentioned for the upcoming expansion, but it’s expected to include a number of brand new cards for players to utilize. That being said, there is no word as to whether the expansion will be another single-player expansion or just a new set of cards.
It was also announced that Hearthstone has over 40 million registered users, making it one of the most popular games going today.
