Class of 2017 five-star running back and Alabama commit Najee Harris is the new No. 1 recruit in his class, according to 247 Sports.
Harris, who currently stars at Antioch High School in the San Francisco Bay Area, has been committed to the Crimson Tide since last April and has now edged out five-star outside linebacker Dylan Moses, a star at Florida’s IMG Academy. Moses de-committed from LSU in August and is also being recruited by Alabama, so perhaps he and Harris will be playing on the same team together in the near future.
Either way, Harris has a strong build for his position at 6-foot-1, 217 pounds and given how well powerful running backs tend to do at Alabama, his future is definitely looking bright. He won’t suit up in Tuscaloosa for another year, but fans definitely have a lot to get excited for down the road.
