Ezekiel Elliott’s days as Ohio State’s star running back may be over, but the man is a Buckeye through and through even when football isn’t happening.
You see, Ohio State’s basketball team defeated Michigan on Tuesday, and Elliott retweeted the following picture.
The sign is a reference to Ohio State defeating Michigan in football back in November, when the Buckeyes manhandled Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines by a score of 42-13. Elliott ran for 214 yards and two touchdowns in the game and then trolled Michigan with another retweet.
It just goes to show, folks. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye, especially if your respective basketball teams are both unranked and fighting for the same NCAA Tournament berth. Elliott is currently prepping for the NFL Scouting Combine next week, but it’s good to know that he was able to take some time off to watch his team win an important game.
