The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men’s basketball team has watched its depth take a serious hit.
It was announced on Saturday morning that the team has suspended leading scorer and rebounder Devin Thomas for two games. Along with Thomas’ suspension, the Demon Deacons have dismissed Cornelius Hudson for an undisclosed violation of program policy.
Thomas currently averages 15.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. His 1,029 rebounds are tops in the ACC among active players.
Wake Forest is currently riding an 11-game losing streak, so this news comes at a time when they were hoping to find some momentum. Instead, they will be looking to fill holes in their lineup while looking to get back in the win column.
