Charlie Strong subpoenaed in Louisville divorce case

Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong has been subpoenaed as a witness in the divorce case of Louisville Board of Trustees member Jonathan Blue, according to a report from Louisville Fox affiliate WDRB.

Per the report, Blue’s lawyers have reached out to Strong, who coached the Cardinals from 2010-2013, to uncover text messages from Blue’s former wife Tracy, as well as other correspondence. Further details were given as well.

Strong is a “critical witness” to Tracy Blue’s “repeated behavior and activities that are inconsistent with being a role model and responsible caretaker” for the couple’s two teen daughters, according to a motion filed Feb. 19 in Oldham Family Court by Jonathan Blue’s attorney, Ann Oldfather.

Strong has also been asked to provide travel information from 2012 as well as gifts Tracy Blue supposedly gave him, and this case has clearly reached the ugly stage. With all due respect to the Blue family, things must be really bad if a former coach needs to be brought in as a witness to testify to someone’s erratic behavior.

Strong has enough on his plate in trying to rebuild Texas’ football program, so hopefully the need for him in this case doesn’t take up too much of his time.
