UFC 196: Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz pre-fight press conference

Conor McGregor was once again set to fight for a UFC title, before the champion was forced to withdraw from the bout just days in advance due to injury. This time, it was a broken foot that forced lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos out of the March 5 headliner.

The dos Anjos vs. McGregor matchup had historic implications, with McGregor looking to be the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold belts in two weight classes.

McGregor will have to wait for his opportunity for 155-pound gold, but he does have a new opponent.

The UFC acted quickly and tabbed Stockton native Nate Diaz as dos Anjos’ replacement. McGregor and Diaz have plenty of bad blood after verbal back-and-forths in the media and now they get to settle it in the cage.

To make the bout even more interesting, McGregor and Diaz will fight at welterweight, which is 25 pounds heavier than the division where McGregor holds a UFC title.

With just over a week until the two men go head-to-head inside of the Octagon, the UFC is putting its promotional tour into full swing and that begins at 4 p.m. ET today with a press conference featuring both fighters.

You will be able to watch that live below.
