Laremy Tunsil sitting out 40 yard dash at Combine

Ole Miss Rebels offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil is widely regarded as the top prospect at his position and a potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, we will not get to see him running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Tunsil announced that he will skip the 40-yard dash as the offensive linemen take the field in Indianapolis for on-field drills.

Skipping the 40 won’t hurt Tunsil one bit, however, and he will participate in the rest of the drills for the field workout. Tunsil is also very confident that he’s the draft’s best offensive tackle prospect.

I have great feet, great frame,” Tunsil said, via CBSSports.com. “I just think I’m the best. You’ve got to have that swagger about yourself. You’ve got to be confident.”

Tunsil skipped the bench press in Indianapolis as well, but he will do that drill and run the 40 at Ole Miss’ Pro Day next month.
