The Kansas Jayhawks won their 12th straight Big 12 regular season title this season following a win over scrappy Texas Tech in Lawrence and just a few hours after the final buzzer, a video has been released celebrating the accomplishment.

It’s been a whirlwind year for the Jayhawks, who saw some uncertainty surrounding five-star freshman forward Cheick Diallo’s eligibility early in the season and also needed triple-overtime to beat Oklahoma in what was then a classic matchup of the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country.
In spite of all that, Kansas has once again proven that it is a strong national championship contender and winning the Big 12 regular season crown for the 12th year in a row proves that.
The NCAA Tournament, however, is a different story. Kansas has only gotten as far as the Final Four or beyond twice in 13 years under coach Bill Self, winning a national championship in 2008, but this team seems like something special.
It’s simply time for Kansas to celebrate its regular season championship and with the NCAA Tournament on the horizon, it’d certainly be wise to make them a Final Four contender in 2016.
