Clemson DE Shaq Lawson runs 4.73 40 at NFL Scouting Combine

One of the hottest names in the 2016 NFL Draft Class is Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson, and with good reason. Appearing at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis today, Lawson ran the 40-yard dash in an eye-popping 4.73 seconds.

Check out the video below!

To give a better idea of how amazing this 40 time is, Lawson was measured at 6-foot-3, 269 pounds earlier this week. Thus, to run the 40 in that fast a time, his stock is likely skyrocketing.

And any team that needs a pass-rusher would be extremely lucky to have Lawson on their team. The former four-star recruit led the nation with 24.5 tackles for a loss last season and ended his Clemson career with 123 tackles (45.5 for a loss) and 20 sacks.

Simply put, with this kind of speed, odds are greater than none that Lawson has a long and prosperous NFL career ahead of him.
