The Philadelphia Eagles are desperate for a quarterback, so much so that team management has increased its offer to free-agent-to-be Sam Bradford, according to Fox Sports.
Per the report, written by Mike Garafolo, the Eagles met with Bradford’s agent at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week in hopes of agreeing to a long-term deal before free agency starts next month.
This is certainly an interesting development, as Bradford was brought aboard by former Eagles coach Chip Kelly last season and though he did wind up throwing for 3,725 yards and completed 65 percent of his passes, he had 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and missed some time with a shoulder injury. Kelly has since been fired, and it is also important to note that Bradford has two ACL surgeries to his name.
That said, just what happens with Bradford remains to be seen, especially with new coach Doug Pederson waxing poetic about Kansas City Chiefs backup Chase Daniel, but stay tuned to campus Sports for further updates on Bradford’s talks with Philadelphia!
