Former Texas Longhorns defensive back is set to transfer to Miami, according to a post on his Twitter.

A former three-star recruit from Mineral Wells, Texas, Colbert is a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible to play for the Hurricanes in the 2016 season. He appeared in 38 games and was a reserve last season, not being credited with a single tackle. He leaves Austin with 26 tackles to his name along with an interception.
And Colbert is headed to Coral Gables at quite the opportune time. After years of inconsistency and futility, most recently under former coach Al Golden, and Miami alum and longtime Georgia coach Mark Richt is now the Hurricanes’ head coach. Given Richt’s experience playing under the legendary Howard Schnellenberger, there is plenty of reason to believe that he will make Miami a force in the ACC once again.
With a great defensive back in Colbert now on the team, Miami is now a step closer to achieving that goal.
