Texans WR Jaelen Strong arrested on drug charges

Late Sunday night, Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona. Officers stopped the car he was riding in, for having no visible license plates and found Strong along with Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall, and another individual yet to be named, in the car.

A heavy smell of marijuana was allegedly coming from the car. Strong then, reportedly admitted to possession of marijuana without a medical card. He was then arrested and booked in Scottsdale.

Strong attended Arizona State University before being drafted to the Houston Texans in the 2015 NFL Draft. Sources say Strong may be starting in Houston next season, opposite DeAndre Hopkins, however, he many now face discipline from the league. He posted 161 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in his rookie season with the Texans.

Reports say that Randall and the other individual were released at the scene.
