Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple is impressing at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis today, and the former Buckeye looked great in particular during the Speed Turn & Catch drill. As can be seen in the video below, Apple made a phenomenal one-handed catch that surely made some eyes pop out of their sockets.

Well hello Eli Apple. See what happens when you actually look for the football? pic.twitter.com/o76WKiFJfL

A former five-star recruit from the Philadelphia area, Apple proved to be an excellent shutdown corner in two years in Columbus. He had 86 tackles and four interceptions to go with 17 pass breakups, and teams went out of their way to avoid throwing the ball in his direction in 2015. Apple also won a national championship with Ohio State in 2014 and was the Defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl, posting five tackles against Notre Dame.
That said, Apple’s top prospect pedigree is there but he has a lot of competition this season, especially with 13 of his teammates at the Combine with him.
