Michigan State Spartans guard Bryn Forbes is easily one of the best shooters in college basketball, if not the best. Don’t believe me? The man set a record by draining 11 shots from beyond the arc against Rutgers last night as Michigan State rolled to a 97-66 victory.
Check out video of Forbes’ strong and record-setting night below.
Forbes is averaging 15.2 points per game and 33 points against the Scarlet Knights set a new career high for the senior from Lansing. On the year, Forbes is shooting 50 percent from the field and an eye-popping 51.5 percent from downtown, with 6.7 of his 10 field goal attempts per game coming from three-point range.
Needless to say, if Forbes is getting hot, it’s at the right time. The Big Ten tournament is just around the corner and the NCAA Tournament comes soon after. Given how important guard play is this time of year, it may be time to start considering Michigan State a favorite to be the last team standing.
