Greg Gard has interim tag removed by Wisconsin

Since Greg Gard took over for the legendary Bo Ryan in Madison, the Wisconsin Badgers have gone 13-6 as the interim head coach.

Thanks to that performance, reports are saying that interim he will be no longer.

According to a report by Greg Sprout of the Wisconsin State Journal, Gard will be introduced as the Badgers’ full-time head coach on Tuesday.

From the report:

“The UW Board of Regents has scheduled a meeting for 5 p.m. Monday to “consider an employment agreement and compensation for a UW-Madison head basketball coach.”

“Gard, 45, is expected to be introduced as the coach during a news conference Tuesday afternoon at the Kohl Center’s Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion.”

Wisconsin enters the Big Ten tournament as the no. 6 seed, awaiting the victor of No. 11 Nebraska vs. No. 14 Rutgers on Thursday night.
