Kobe Bryant, Alexander Ovechkin catch each other’s games

Kobe Bryant and Alexander Ovechkin shook up the sports world this week when the Washington Capitals posted a picture of the two, and tennis star Novak Djokavic. Ovechkin flew into Los Angeles early to catch the Lakers play the Orlando Magic at the Staples Center before his own game versus the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.

Kobe presented the star hockey winger with an autographed jersey and a pair of custom kicks. Kobe signed the shoes, “‘To Alex, One of the All time greats!’ – Kobe” which Ovechkin posted on his Instagram account.

Then yesterday, Kobe was spotted attending the Kings/Capitals game with wife, Vanessa. The two were even featured on the night’s Kiss Cam. It’s hard to say if Kobe was supporting new friend, Ovechkin, or the home team.
Ovechkin was part of Kobe’s farewell tour in the final season of his historic basketball career. Both athletes are legends in their respective sports and seeing the two pal around together left hockey and basketball fans alike, excited.
