NBA veteran guard Nate Robinson may be 32 years old, but that isn’t stopping him from wanting a chance at playing in the NFL. According to a video posted by The Lead, Robinson is convinced that he can still make an impact in the league.
Granted, Robinson last played for the New Orleans Pelicans last season and ultimately chose basketball over football, but keep in mind that the man did play cornerback for a season at Washington. Moreover, his coach was Rick Neuheisel, who thinks that Robinson can indeed still play football.
Robinson is a bit old to be chasing such a dream and isn’t the biggest at 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, but he still looks to be in good shape. Now, it’s just a matter of teams giving him a chance when it’s time for training camp this summer. Were Robinson to try out, odds are he’d be used as a return specialist on special teams or maybe even a slot receiver. It really depends on what the team trying him out needs.
That said, assuming teams do decide to give Nate Robinson a shot, be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for updates!
