Michigan upset Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament today thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer by sophomore Kam Chatman, and the Wolverines made sure to celebrate as a team in the locker room afterward.
That celebration was absolutely epic, with Chatman being mobbed by his teammates once again and getting a shower of bottled water.
Given how Michigan was a No. 8 seed in the tournament and just beat top-seeded Indiana, the Big Ten regular season champ, it’s easy to see why the Wolverines would be so excited. They have moved one step closer to getting back to the NCAA Tournament and will play the winner of Illinois vs. Purdue tomorrow.
It also must be a great moment for Chatman, a former four-star recruit from Portland who averaged 2.8 points over seven minutes per game this season. He only played eight minutes today, but certainly made the most of them.
