UFC women’s strawweight contender Paige VanZant is about to see her popularity rise to a new level. VanZant was named to the cast of Season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Previously, UFC Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture have competed on the show but both finished in 11th-place.
Initially, VanZant was given 10-to-1 odds to win the show’s grand prize, but now the odds have shifted in her favor.
In the latest odds from Bovada.lv, VanZant is listed as the favorite to win the show at +200 (2-1). Rounding out the top three are Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (4-1) and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller (7-1).
It comes as no surprise that athletes are favored to win the show.
However, Paige VanZant also has a history as a dancer, so she should be a shoo-in to win the season if fans actually vote based on talent on the dance floor. But since these things always turn into a popularity contest, we’d say the smart money is on Brown to be supported by the rabid Steelers fanbase en route to a Dancing With The Stars win.
