High school basketball team’s bus flips on way to semifinal

These are stories we don’t like to bring you, but we’d be doing a disservice to everyone not writing about it.

On Saturday afternoon, while on its way to the Indiana State High School Basketball Semifinals, the bus carrying the Griffith Panthers boys basketball team rolled over on the highway. As a result, the game against Marion High School has been rightfully postponed.

This afternoon's Griffith-Marion boys basketball semi-state game at Lafayette Jeff scheduled for 4 pm ET/ 3 CT has been postponed.

As you can see by the pictures above, the top of the bus was completely crushed in. That being said, there are reportedly no major injuries to speak of from the accident. There may be some minor injuries, but nothing is confirmed.

As for the cause of the crash, there is no information available at this time. When it becomes known, we will update you with the latest. For now, let’s just all be happy that no one was seriously injured, or worse, as a result of this accident.
